Your partner never sees your raw answers
This is the whole point of Twoglow. What you type into your daily check-in — your mood, the hardest thing, what you needed — is visible only to you. Your partner sees one thing: the weekly summary, which is a synthesised paragraph written about the two of you together. It never quotes you and never attributes a specific complaint to a specific person. This is enforced in the database, not just in the app.
What we store
- Your email address and the name you chose to display.
- Your baby's birth or due date, so we know which stage you're in.
- Your daily check-ins.
- Shared items on your mental load list, which both partners can see by design.
- Weekly summaries and whether either of you reacted to them.
- Your subscription status, if you have one.
How summaries are written
Once a week, your check-ins from that week are sent to an AI model to be turned into a single warm paragraph plus one suggested action. The text is used to generate that summary and is not used to train any model. If you'd rather not have this happen, don't check in — nothing is sent unless you write it.
Who controls your data
Ali Ayan, a sole trader trading as "Twoglow", is the data controller for everything described here. We collect and use it to create your account, run the service, keep it secure, answer support requests, and improve the product — on the basis of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in running a safe, working service.
We don't sell anything about you
No advertising, no data brokers, no selling or sharing your check-ins with anyone. We share data only with: service providers who host the database, send email and generate summaries; Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which handles the sale, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing; professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires it.
Keeping and protecting it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists, then delete or anonymise it when it's no longer needed. Everything is stored with encryption in transit and access controls so only the systems that need it can reach it. You can ask us to access, correct, export or erase your data, object to how we use it, or complain to your local data protection authority.
Deleting your data
In Settings you can export everything you've written, and you can delete your account. Deleting removes your profile, your check-ins, your reactions and the mental load items you added. If you were the last person in your couple, the couple and its weekly summaries are deleted too. This is immediate and can't be undone.
Twoglow is not medical care
It's a check-in tool, not therapy and not a diagnosis. If you're struggling with your mental health after birth, please speak to a doctor, midwife or health visitor.
